OPENING DAY OF THE ALL INDIA OPEN NATIONAL ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
The All India Open National Roller Skating Championship 2026 commenced successfully today in Kolkata. The championship is being conducted by the Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI) and hosted by the Roller Skating Association of Bengal (RSAB).
Despite attempts by certain individuals to stop the championship through legal proceedings, the Hon’ble Court kept aside the order dated 09.06.2026, allowing the championship to proceed as scheduled. This once again proved that truth and justice ultimately prevail.
The opening day witnessed enthusiastic participation from skaters across the country. Parents and participants highly appreciated the excellent arrangements made by the host association, including the provision of free food for all participants.
A grand inauguration ceremony was held in the evening and was graced by Shri Piyush Kanodia, Hon’ble MLA, Rajarhat–New Town Assembly Constituency, Government of West Bengal, along with several distinguished guests.
Championship Director Mr. P.K. Bharat Kumar complimented the Roller Skating Association of Bengal for its outstanding arrangements and hospitality. All the skaters were provided free food. The undersigned also complimented all the RSFI Technical Officials for their dedicated efforts and professional conduct in ensuring the smooth and successful organization of the championship.
The overwhelming response to the championship reflects the confidence of the skating fraternity in RSFI and its commitment to the development of the sport.
